Our Life Skills Programs are designed to target young women who need to learn essential skills before returning to the world after escaping situations of domestic violence.

Program Segments

  • At Home Skills
    • Basic information ranging from managing rent to basic cleaning skills.
  • Financial Literacy
    • Basic information ranging from managing weekly budgets to applying for credit cards.
  • Citizenship 
    • Basic information ranging from applying to be a citizen to getting educated on state laws.
  • Use Technology at work, Home, Security, 
    • Basic information ranging from how to use social media to networking with professionals via LinkedIn/Gmail.
  • Food Skills
    • Basic information ranging from knowing how to cook to shopping for groceries
  • Employability Skills
    • Basic information ranging from communication skills (public speaking) to utilizing Microsoft Office
  • Use of Public Transportation
    • Basic information ranging from managing the subway to being able to read train schedules
